I didn’t! I stumbled upon some images from his collection on Instagram and got curious about whether I had written a post about it on my website. After searching, I found this old post, dating back to 2013. Everything I wrote back then, I still stand by. Kanye really was ahead of his time, and judging by the old articles I found from critics, he wasn’t given a fair chance. I think we all know why that is!
Looking back at the show, he did an exceptional job creating these edgy, luxurious pieces. He managed to produce a wearable collection, introduce couture heels that had never been seen before, and shake up the fashion industry. His eye for fashion would later captivate the world with the Yeezy brand. A lot has happened in Kanye’s life since then, and depending on how things unfold, I believe he has a chance of making a comeback—he’s proven himself numerous times.
Seeing these photos definitely makes me nostalgic for the early 2010s fashion shows, back when brands had their own identity and models knew how to walk.
